The goal of our recently started kennel activity is to breed the long-haired dachshunds which have the good nature characteristic for the breed and the hunting drive.

We have had the long-haired dachshunds since 1986. We have used them very much for hunting (the cave hunting, the chasing and the tracking). We’ve also visited many dog shows with them. We think that the shows are important because of the appearance characteristic for the breed.

Few years ago in 2002 we got the dachshund male called “Yökyöpelin Napoleon”. His line includes many excellent utility dogs and that is why we inspired to get also a female one from the utility line. In the year 2005 we brought “Romanicas Xanthia” from Sweden and both of her parents includes to the utility line. Both of our dogs have been very successful in the dog shows and in the examinations. That’s the main reason why we founded the kennel in 2006. We want the long-haired dachshunds to be the utility dogs in the future too.

Romanicas Xanthia: just missing one certification and then she will be the champion.  She got nearly the maximum points from her first cave examination (just one point was missed!).

I have passed several courses related to my hobby, for example the breeder basic course and many judge courses.
